Let’s Be Friends: Merion Friends Meeting Celebrates The Life Of Joseph Price
Join us on Saturday, April 25 at 2:00 pm for a special program celebrating Quaker Joseph Price, brought to life by reenactor Stephen Pierce.
Discover the many roles he held – as a Quaker, farmer, innkeeper, undertaker, militiaman, diarist, sawmill operator, milestone installer, carpenter, turnpike supervisor, patriot, and engaged Lower Merion community member.
Following the program, guests are invited to stay for a guided tour of the 1695 National Historic Landmark Meeting House, along with the burial ground and historic horse sheds.
Refreshments will be served following the program in Friends Hall.

✨Meet Hannah Penn: Pennsylvania’s First Lady of the Commonwealth
Join us for a compelling and inspiring afternoon as reenactor Ann D’Silva of the Gather Place Museum brings to life the remarkable story of Hannah Penn—the woman who quietly but powerfully helped shape early America.
After the death of her husband, William Penn, Hannah stepped forward to govern the colony, championing religious tolerance, diplomacy, and community leadership. Through immersive storytelling and historically grounded insight, this one-hour program reveals how her 18th-century vision still resonates with today’s ideals of democracy and inclusion. A thoughtful Q&A will follow.
This special presentation is an America 250PA Officially Recognized Program.

Pennsylvania Council of Churches Launches Community Garden (Press Release)
Philadelphia Yearly Meeting is a voting member of the Pennsylvania Council of Churches. PYM provides a representative who participates in their ongoing work for Christian unity and social justice across Pennsylvania. PYM leadership also provided a letter of support for the PACC’s recent grant application for its Community Garden Project.
