The Following is Attributed to Emily Provance of New York Yearly Meeting and other individual Friends, some of whom are part of Philadelphia Yearly Meeting.
This epistle comes from the Friends that participated in the recent conversation circles about the life cycle of meetings, which were open to any Friend from anywhere for free. I assembled the epistle using comments submitted by group members for that purpose. It’s a little disjointed because it wasn’t created as a single, cohesive piece of writing–but there are some things in it that I hope other Friends will hear.

In 2025, Philadelphia Yearly Meeting (PYM) was granted funds by Friends Foundation for the Aging to reimagine Quaker Aging Resources (QAR). The intent was to improve the work done 15 years ago in creating the website, while providing greater visibility and use.

Friends from Wilmington Yearly Meeting (WYM), which has meetings in Southwest Ohio and East Tennessee, recently shared two minutes with Philadelphia Yearly Meeting. These minutes were approved by WYM at their Spring Gathering on March 14.
They are sharing these with the wider Quaker community to reach Friends who have taken, or are considering, similar positions. Philadelphia Yearly Meeting is asked to share this, and to pass it along more broadly.
