Friends General Conference (FGC) is getting its Arch Street office ready for sale. The organization is looking for homes for most of its furniture and supplies. A Minute from Newtown Friends Meeting
At the monthly meeting for business on February 2, 2025, Newtown Monthly Meeting quickly and heartily found unity in expressing support for the quick action of Philadelphia Yearly Meeting in joining with the Democracy Now lawsuit against the Department of Homeland Security for rescinding the policy protecting immigrants from ICE enforcement in places of worship. Also, we support Friends General Conference for joining the interfaith action with the Institute for Constitutional Advocacy and Protection.
Generation X Discussion Group
Connect with fellow Gen Xers to explore Quaker spirituality, share personal experiences, and engage in meaningful conversations about faith, community, and social issues in a supportive and open environment. This group will grow and evolve over time.
The gatherings will be led by various Generation X Quakers, including Melinda Wenner Bradley, Lori Piñeiro Sinitzky, and Windy Cooler.
This offering is free and repeats monthly.
Meets on Zoom at 7pm Eastern / 4pm Pacific on the Third Sunday of each Month for 1.5 hours

Scope of FGC’s Communications After Quaker Cloud
When it comes to websites, web hosting, social media engagement, and other forms of electronic outreach, Friends General Conference (FGC) is in a period of evolving engagement with Friends and their meetings. Previously, FGC hosted several meeting websites through Quaker Cloud. That service, which will end at the end of 2023, was a useful tool for many meetings who needed a simple web presence.
