The Five Groups Who Presented
- Climate Witness Stewards of Philadelphia Yearly Meeting
- The Climate Stewards are charged with holding the yearly meeting accountable to its commitment to a yearly meeting-wide witness on climate change and climate justice.
- Eco-Justice Collaborative of the Philadelphia Yearly Meeting
- Serves as a home for Friends acting on their leading in the intersection of racial, economic, and climate justice. We organize events, prepare written materials, advocate for policy change and the adoption of responsible energy practices. We act as an incubator for new projects focusing on creating a just transition to a stable climate and a caring and equitable economy.
- Earth Quaker Action Team (EQAT) – (pronounced “equate”)
- is a grassroots, nonviolent action group, including Quakers and people of diverse beliefs, who join with millions of people around the world fighting for a just and sustainable economy.
- Quaker Action Mid-Atlantic Region (QAMAR)
- An advocacy and action non-profit initiated by Quakers working toward a peaceful, sustainable and equitable world. Their three priorities are climate action, gun control, and defending democracy. QAMAR affectionately refers to themselves as “local/mini Friends Council on National Legislation.”
- Quaker Earthcare Witness (QEW)
- Quaker Earthcare Witness (QEW) is a network of Friends (Quakers) in North America working on Earthcare concerns. We work to inspire Spirit-led action toward ecological sustainability and environmental justice.
