Right Relationship Training: August 2 & 3
The Friends of the Delaware Tribe (an interfaith group made up of Quakers, Mennonites, Lutheran, and others) and the Mennonite Heritage Center invite you to join them for a Right Relationship Training with the Coalition to Dismantle the Doctrine of Discovery.
Join the Coalition’s Organizer Doe Hoyer for an interactive training on that will help us be better allies to our indigenous neighbors, through cross-cultural servant-based relationship building and Christian solidarity.
Schedule:
Friday, August 2, 5:00-8:30pm — The event will start with a potluck supper before an evening of training.
Saturday, August 3, 8:30am-5:00pm — Breakfast and lunch will be provided for the second full day of training.

Birmingham Meeting has a Bee Yard
In recognition of PYM’s Witness on Climate Change, Birmingham Meeting‘s Peace and Social Concerns Committee has chosen to focus on climate change and the environment this year. In exploring programs we might promote, we wanted to make sure that we chose something that our Children and Youth would have an interest in. After consulting with the Youth Committee and educating ourselves about beekeeping, a proposal was made for our Business Meeting to purchase two beehives to be placed on our Meetinghouse grounds.
