Friends are sharing minutes that express solidarity with lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex, and asexual (LGBTQIA+) communities; reflect on the Department of Homeland Security lawsuit; address unjust incarceration; and affirm support for Lenape leaders.
These minutes present how discernment moves through individual Friends and through meetings that faithfully take time to learn, reflect, and record a message during meeting for business or committee work.
Whether your meeting is recognizing a Friend’s religious service, naming a shared concern for peace and justice, or commemorating someone’s life, your meeting’s thoughts, commitments, and leadings matter. These minutes give witness to our Quaker testimonies and inspires all monthly and quarterly meetings to act.
If your meeting has recently approved a minute, especially one of concern, we encourage you to share it with the wider community. This could include posting your minute on PYM Connect or inviting us to help share your story through the PYM news feed. You may also submit an event related to your ministry or concern to the PYM calendar. When Friends learn what other meetings are doing—or navigating—it strengthens our collective understanding and reminds us that we are not alone in this work.
