The 345th Annual Sessions of Philadelphia Yearly Meeting happened this past July online and at Cheyney University. This children’s epistle records a reflection of the fellowship during sessions and is not meant to serve as minutes.
PYM Annual Sessions 2025 Children’s Epistle
The kids gathered for the weekend and we had fun together making crafts and playing games. We enjoyed spending time with family, making new friends, and spending time with old friends. We loved all of the food, especially the treats! We appreciated learning to steer the golf carts. We felt welcome here!
Upcoming Youth Programming
A new season of youth and family gatherings begins this fall. Young Friends will come together for an overnight at Buckingham Friends Meeting on September 19–20, with games, free time, and volunteer service at the Peace Fair. Middle School Friends will meet online on October 12 to connect with Daniel and Elizabeth, the new co-facilitators, and to begin building their circle for the year. Families will gather on October 25 for the Climate Witness Thread Gathering at Arch Street Meeting House, with workshops and activities for all ages.
The fall schedule continues with Fall Sessions on November 8, where youth and families will share in programs alongside the larger community. December brings a Family Holiday Meetup on the 13th, along with an overnight for Middle School Friends and a Young Friends December gathering. Each of these gatherings makes space for fun, service, and reflection, offering children and families steady points of connection across the yearly meeting.
