Steward land and buildings with expertise and care!
Recently Property Committee found joy and fulfillment! Here’s how:
- The committee met with Partners for Sacred Spaces who responded positively to what Property Committee is doing – we are very enthusastic about building this relationship.
- Within PYM our meetinghouses have a diversity of design and architecture which is exciting to get to see
People who participate in this committee can learn and grow in this way:
- Connect with other meetings and share collective knowledge
This committee functions at its best when there are people serving on it who have these skills or experiences:
- Property management
- Landscaping
- Historic preservation
- Burial ground maintenance
- Architecture
The realistic time commitment of members of this committee includes:
- Attend monthly meetings that are about 90 minutes long
- Prepare for meetings by reading materials in advance
- Occasionally visit meetings and correspond with property committees
Membership:
- Members of committees are appointed by the council they serve. Property Committee is under Admin Council
- Ideally, the Property Committee has eight to ten members and currently has eight.

- Work, as necessary, with other stakeholders that may have a non-financial interest in PYM real estate, such as local monthly meetings, local government and other community groups.
