“One Pamphlet, One Yearly Meeting,” is a community read opportunity for Philadelphia Yearly Meeting Friends to read and discuss the same Quaker pamphlet together. Formerly known as “One Book, One Yearly Meeting,” this year we are centered on a short pamphlet for use in meetings, study groups, and religious education programs.
As announced at Annual Sessions 2026, this year’s read is Pendle Hill Pamphlet 495: Patterns of Racial Wounding and Racial Justice in Quaker Communities by Lauren Brownlee and Zenaida Peterson. This pamphlet guides Friends and meetings toward freer and more loving community, recognizes that all people make mistakes, and offers practical examples of proactive ways to address them when they happen.
