We affirm that marriage “in the presence of God and these our Friends” is a sacred commitment between two people. There is nothing about this significant spiritual event that should limit it to heterosexual couples. The spiritual and community benefits of marriage should be available to all couples regardless of their sexual orientation and gender identity.
Accordingly, Lehigh Valley Monthly Meeting will provide all couples, seeking to be united in marriage with spiritual and community support appropriate to the needs and strengths of each relationship, following our established process of discernment as defined by Faith and Practice.
