The 2018-2019 Children & Families Program

Quaker Family Meetup

September 8, 2018 at Germantown Meeting
This is a “potluck picnic” event for families of youth of all ages who have an interest in connecting to other parents, hearing about PYM’s youth programs and enjoying delicious food together. It’s a free event, and there will be child care on site. Come kick off the program year with f/Friends!

Continuing Sessions

November 3, 2018 at Arch Street Meeting
Continuing Sessions are day-long gatherings that happen twice during the year as the PYM body continues the work of the yearly meeting from Annual Sessions. At these events, we celebrate our multi-generational community together. There is time for children to build on their own community through play and worship in the Children’s Sessions program.

Winter Family Overnight

January 5-6, 2019 at Camp Onas
Family overnight is an intentional village for the purpose of being a family of Friends. These one-night events are designed for family schedules: the fun starts in the afternoon on Saturday and we’re heading home before lunch on Sunday. Join other families at Camp Onas for a one-night sleepover with lots of fellowship, games, communal cooking, hot cocoa and bedtime stories, and Giant First Day School on Sunday morning!

Spring Continuing Sessions

March 23, 2019 (location TBD)
We will gather for worship, workshops and play! There will be lots of multi-generational community time, and also time for kids to play with kids. Hope to see you there!

Children & Families Meetup

April 6, 2019 (location TBD)
An afternoon of fellowship with other PYM Families! We’ll start with a celebration of multigenerational community, and then children will play and be in community with their peers, while people who are parents, grandparents, and caregivers are invited to worship sharing and fellowship together. And snacks. There will be snacks.

Spring Family Overnight

May 4-5, 2019 at Camp Darkwaters
There is always a lot of fun to be had at our Spring Family Overnight at Camp Darkwaters. Connecting with each other, canoeing, ropes course, multi-generational games, lessons and more!

Children’s Sessions

July 24-28, 2019 at The College of New Jersey
Children gather for Friendship, Community, and to explore their lives as Quakers. Our largest meeting for fellowship and business is a 5-day long residential gathering each year in the summer. A program for children infuses First Day School and Summer Camp. A fun time for all!
