The following is attributed to the Young Adult Friends of Philadelphia Yearly Meeting
At the Young Adult Friends Summer Celebration, Friends were led to write a Minute of Appreciation for Inaara Neal-Shiraz, who recently ended her service as the Belonging and Inclusion Coordinator. In this position, Inaara held special care for the Young Adult Friends community. Below is the minute written at this celebration:
“The YAF community gathered in worship to express our extreme appreciation for Inaara Neal-Shiraz’s time serving as the Inclusion and Belonging Coordinator with care to the YAF community. She entered this role following a period of significant turnover and we appreciate the steadyness and professionalism that she brought. In addition to organizing events for the community, she provided vital pastoral care and spiritual grounding to help us grow and thrive. Her warmth enriched our spitual life. She has a thoughtful and intentional way of communicating that made us always feel welcome and seen. We are saddened by the end of her service and continue to welcome her as a member of our community and a friend.”
