Fundraising Friends

Strong and stable monthly meetings are the foundation of a thriving Quaker community. This is why PYM staff are hosting a monthly virtual gathering of Friends who carry stewardship or fundraising work for their meetings called “Fundraising Friends!”

The goal of Fundraising Friends is to ensure that PYM meetings have the financial resources they need to build impactful faith communities, so we sincerely hope that you will join us! By being a part of Fundraising Friends, you will find…

• Mutual support from others who understand the joys and challenges of ensuring their meeting has sufficient funds

• Practical ideas and resources to strengthen your meeting’s stewardship, giving, and community engagement.

• Shared stories and successes that inspire Light-led approaches to fundraising rooted in Quaker values.

• Connections across the yearly meeting, building friendships and collaboration among those doing similar work.

• Encouragement and learning from PYM Development staff and experienced Friends.

Fundraising Friends meets virtually on the second Thursday of each month at 12 noon and is free and open to any PYM Friends who are interested in or involved with fundraising for their local meeting.

Whether you come to find ways to strengthen financial health or help other meetings do the same, you’ll be why new seekers and long-time Friends alike can find a spiritual home at their local Quaker meeting!
