Together in Spirit: Learning for Life – A Religious Ed. Thread Gathering, January 24, 2026
Friends are invited to join for a day of sharing, learning, and working together on the topic of Religious education across the lifespan! This day of active learning will provide opportunities to explore topics for adults, youth and intergenerational programming. Topics include deepening worship, integrating youth into the life of the meeting, activities for multigenerational worship, ministry skill-building and more
All Friends are welcome! Whether you are interested in deepening your own Quaker practice as an individual, you are a member of a worship and care committee or you are a first day school committee or clerk of a meeting, there is something in this day for you. Childcare will be available during adult-focused portions of the day.
Schedule: Saturday, January 24
9:00 – Arrivals & Refreshments
9:30 – Intergenerational Worship + “Worship Bowl” Activity (all ages)
10:00 – Walking Worship Activity (all ages)
11:00 – Conversation Circles
- How’s and why’s of Quaker process
- Practices for going deeper in worship
- How to incorporate children and teens in the life of the meeting through middle school, high school and beyond!
- Free play time for children!
12:15 to 1:00 – Potluck or Brown Bag Lunch

- Children’s workshop
- Resource Sharing: Bring your favorite pamphlet or resource for discussion
- “Your RE Dream Day”: Get support creating a plan for a day of Religious Ed at your meeting
2:00 to 3:00 – Closing Intergenerational Program
