Seeds & Flowerings of Embodied Quakerism

Calling all spiritual spelunkers!
Want to experiment with early Quaker body-based mystical practices?
This workshop explores the radically embodied practices of the early Quaker movement. We will begin with the briefest of historical introductions, describing the body-based practices of First-generation Friends (resources will be shared for further independent study). Then we will get down to the business of experimenting with current forms of Embodied Quakerism that reimagines old practices — like Quaker chanting, ways of listening through the body for messages from the beyond, and hands-on healing.
What happens when we open our whole selves to how Spirit might want to move through – not just in familiar ways, but perhaps in radically new/old ones?
The Center for Centering is a growing community of spiritual seekers longing to explore how embodied awareness and responsive presence might open new possibilities for personal and collective transformation.
