National Day of Action: A Declaration of Resistance

Please join AFSC on July 4th, 2026 for a National Day of Action to declare our collective commitment to resist the rise of authoritarianism. Together, we will explore ways to protect our communities and imagine the shared future we want to build. Faith communities will gather at Arch Street Meeting House (320 Arch Street) at 8:30 AM before joining local and national organizations taking part in The People’s Parade, starting from Washington Square and going around Independence Mall. Participants will get t-shirts (while supplies last), sing songs of freedom and justice, and sign a symbolic representation of AFSC’s “Declaration of Resistance,” an online call to resist authoritarianism and to uphold freedom and justice for ALL.
