Justice from the Inside Up

June 26 - June 28

Join visionary leaders for a powerful introduction to the practice of restorative justice.

Restorative justice (“RJ”) is a return to our roots, an indigenous way of addressing harm that directly involves those impacted by it, including those who caused it. It is a communal way of doing justice that centers the dignity of all, our interconnectedness, and active accountability.  Restorative justice is heart and spirit work. Through storytelling, people can connect on a deeper level, where inter and intrapersonal transformation happens. The values of restorative justice resonate with many, if not all, faith traditions.

This program invites organizers, faith communities, learners, and teachers into the practice of restorative justice. Our pedagogy draws knowledge from participants through learning experiences that include brainstorming, art, lots of movement, small and large group dialogue, short videos, and community-building circles.  This workshop encourages participants to tap into their own wisdom to explore the concepts of justice, harm, and accountability from a relational perspective, while being introduced to RJ values, principles, and practices.

A certificate of completion will be provided at the conclusion of the program.
