Young Friends Epistle
Sunday July 26th, 2026
This year Young Friends gathered nine times. At Peace Fair in September, we helped set up and run games. In October, we gathered at Arch Street Meeting House for the Climate Thread Gathering, where we joined conversations about how to make meeting more sustainable.
In November, we came to continuing sessions and joined in the PYM community. In January, we convened at Haverford Meeting for intergenerational fun at the religious education thread event, and welcomed Lilly as the new YF facilitator. In February, we gathered at Lancaster to plan our quilt mural event, which we hosted at Germantown Monthly Meeting the next month. Many Friends from across generations attended. In April, we had an egg hunt at Greene Street Meeting, and in May, we convened at Swatara for Caln Quarter.
Our group grew in size and friendship throughout the year, enabled by overnight fun. Though we were sad to say goodbye to 3 graduating Young Friends in May, and to our facilitator Lilly after Annual Sessions, we look forward to welcoming MSFs aging into the program, and we hope to continue to build the Young Friends program this coming year.
