DESCRIPTION:Join us on Saturday\, April 25 at 2:00 pm for a special program celebrating Quaker Joseph Price\, brought to life by reenactor Stephen Pierce. \nDiscover the many roles he held – as a Quaker\, farmer\, innkeeper\, undertaker\, militiaman\, diarist\, sawmill operator\, milestone installer\, carpenter\, turnpike supervisor\, patriot\, and engaged Lower Merion community member. \nFollowing the program\, guests are invited to stay for a guided tour of the 1695 National Historic Landmark Meeting House\, along with the burial ground and historic horse sheds. \nRefreshments will be served following the program in Friends Hall. \n615 Montgomery Avenue\, Merion Station\, PA 19066 \nAll are welcome. \nFree registration is available at www.merionfriends.org

There is a lot of stress these days among families and friends who are divided politically.\nProcess: Learn what is involved in developing attitudes\, words\, and using ways to talk with folks on the “other” side with whom we share a national past and future. \nGoals: Discover how to be more aware of your own “inner polarizations”; learn how to be critical without demonizing\, dismissing\, or stereotyping; understand how to handle political and social conversations with peers when these conversations turn to contempt or ridicule for people with different views.
