National War Tax Resistance Conference at Lansdowne Meeting

Lansdowne Friends Meeting and Lansdowne Friends School hosted a national conference of conscientious war tax resisters the weekend of May 13-15.  There were about 30 attendees – 20 from around the country and 10 local. The conference included workshops of general interest as well as ones covering more specialized topics. An attendee addressed students in the LFS 5/6 class, and they expressed much interest in war tax resistance. The Meeting and Chester Quarter provided housing for all those requesting housing – 17 attendees. Attendees expressed great appreciation for the hospitality that they enjoyed here.
