We gather for worship every Sunday morning and other times throughout the year. Our worship is held in the ‘unprogrammed’ Quaker tradition, meaning that we begin worship in silence as we seek to open ourselves to and deepen our relationship with the divine spirit. Sometimes this process gives rise to verbal ministry during worship, other times not. Regardless, we enjoy the opportunity to join in the meditative silence and sharing that characterizes Quaker worship.
Our worship is followed by prayers, greetings, hymns, announcements, and all-age, well-attended First Day classes. Please consider worshiping with us some Sunday and staying to meet others who share your interest in being part of a meaningful faith community.
On the first Sunday of each month, Meeting for Worship is followed by Meeting for Business. All are invited and welcome to participate in this aspect of the life of London Grove Meeting.
While it is not in the manner of Friends to celebrate traditional religious holidays in our meetings for worship, we often organize special programs for children and adults, reflective of our interests. We typically organize special programs in conjunction with the following holidays:
- New Year’s Eve
- New Year’s Day
- Childrens’ Day (June)
- Sunday before Christmas (morning & evening programs)
- Christmas Eve
- Christmas Day
