{"id":305,"date":"2020-11-24T19:09:42","date_gmt":"2020-11-24T19:09:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.pym.org\/grants\/?page_id=305"},"modified":"2025-01-07T19:07:27","modified_gmt":"2025-01-07T19:07:27","slug":"membership-development-past-grants","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.pym.org\/grants\/membership-development-past-grants\/","title":{"rendered":"Membership Development Past Grants"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The\u00a0<strong>Membership Development Granting Group<\/strong>\u00a0supports Monthly and Quarterly Meetings of Philadelphia Yearly Meeting in projects that:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Enhance the visibility and outreach of Monthly Meetings in their communities.<\/li>\n<li>Attract new people to attend Meeting for Worship.<\/li>\n<li>Increase engagement of members and attendees in the Meeting community.<\/li>\n<li>Strengthen and increase membership in Monthly Meetings.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Here are recent grants to provide a sense of the type and scope of the grants.<\/p>\n<h3>2024<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>$2,596 towards Providence Monthly Meeting&#8217;s 340th Anniversary Celebration.<\/li>\n<li>$1,900 to Chestnut Hill Monthly Meeting for signage upgrades.<\/li>\n<li>$750 to Lehigh Valley Monthly Meeting for their anniversary celebration.<\/li>\n<li>$400 to Unami Monthly Meeting for a new sign.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>2023<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>$2,000 to Bristol Preparative Meeting for an event series.<\/li>\n<li>$1438 to Greenwich Monthly Meeting for hybrid meeting implementation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>2022<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>$2,000 to Fallsington Monthly Meeting for &#8220;folk coffeehouse&#8221;.<\/li>\n<li>$1,741 to Newtown Square Monthly Meeting for hybrid meeting implementation.<\/li>\n<li>$800 to Westfield Monthly Meeting for Work Quaker Day programming.<\/li>\n<li>$1,029 to North Branch Monthly Meeting for Hybrid Meeting Funding.<\/li>\n<li>$2,000 to Media Monthly Meeting for Outreach Support.<\/li>\n<li>$600 to Goshen Monthly meeting for the purchase of a public bench and plaque.<\/li>\n<li>$500 to Wrightstown Monthly Meeting for the purchase of microphones.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>2021<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>$1,000 to Barnegate Monthly Meeting for purchase of equipment to facilitate online participation in meeting for worship; a laptop, camera and microphone.<\/li>\n<li>$1,000 to Birmingham Monthly Meeting for a new sign<\/li>\n<li>$993 to Middletown Friends Meeting for the hybrid meeting equipment<\/li>\n<li>$1,000 to Lehigh Valley Monthly Meeting for equipment to facilitate &#8220;hybrid&#8221; worship<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>2020<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>$1,000 to Norristown Monthly Meeting for their technology plan \u201cConnecting Online and In Person. Including the purchase of a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.owllabs.com\/\">&#8220;Meeting Owl&#8221;<\/a> to maintain a virtual presence as some Meetings move towards in-person meeting attendance.<\/li>\n<li>$500 to Unami Monthly Meeting for the Meeting&#8217;s website, Zoom License, Google Ad Words, SEO, and improvements to an existing outreach sign.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>2019<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>$900 to Middletown Monthly Meeting for a new entrance way road sign.<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0$2,838 to Medford Monthly Meeting for the installation of a donated swing set as part of a second phase of making their meetinghouse and grounds more welcoming.<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0$1,000 to Fallowfield Monthly Meeting for the purchase of Audio-visual equipment suitable for their Above Ground Spiritual Railroad programs.<\/li>\n<li>$5,000 to Haddonfield Monthly Meeting for a part-time staff person for membership development<\/li>\n<li>$5,000 to Haddonfield Quarterly Meeting for the creation of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.southjerseyquakers.org\/\">South Jersey Quakers<\/a> website<\/li>\n<li>$500 to Western and Concord Quarterly Meetings for an implicit bias training with Amanda Kemp<\/li>\n<li>$7oo to Southampton Monthly Meeting for a Quakerism workshop with Paul Buckley, historian and author of Primitive Quakerism Revived.<\/li>\n<li>$5,000 to Providence Monthly Meeting for their \u201cSpirit of our Ancestors\u201d program, a spiritual memorial and historic celebration honoring courageous freedom seekers and the national and local abolitionists and free blacks who helped them.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The\u00a0Membership Development Granting Group\u00a0supports Monthly and Quarterly Meetings of Philadelphia Yearly Meeting in projects that: Enhance the visibility and outreach of Monthly Meetings in their communities.
