All Young Adult Quakers and Seekers ages 18-35-ish in the Philadelphia area and beyond are welcome to join us for our at home retreat! Even though we can’t be together in person this fall, Young Adult Friends will still gather, virtually, during the weekend of our planned retreat.
The theme of this retreat is Relationships and Sexuality!
The retreat to cover topics such as boundaries in relationships (platonic, family, romantic, sexual, professional), healthy/unhealthy relationships, attachment styles, love languages, relationship with self and with one’s own body. The virtual format creates space for meaningful one on one and small group connection along with larger group cohesion and fun. In lieu of making a payment for the retreat, consider contributing a donation to Philadelphia Yearly Meeting.

Workshop: Exploring sources of Sexuality Messages
2 PM Saturday Workshop participants will discuss and define their personal spiritual belief system’s perspective about sexuality. This workshop comes from an inclusive, affirming sexuality curriculum called Communication Mixtape: Speak on it! Vol. 1 by the Women of Color Sexual Health Network (WoCHSN).
Facilitated by Mary Tierney (she/they). Mary is a sexuality educator, reproductive justice advocate, and a disabled country queer. Mary’s experience in academic research, violence prevention, and faith-based community organizing roots her passion for accessible, holistic, and queer affirming sex education for all ages.
