The Work That Reconnects
May 12 - May 14
$375 – $495
An on-campus workshop with Lynne Iser and Mordechai Liebling exploring the work of Joanna Macy
Friday 4:30pm through Sunday noon
In this critical moment, many of us feel the need to act–yet feel discouraged or overwhelmed. This workshop, based on the teachings of Joanna Macy, will help us rekindle our power to go forth and create the changes our world needs as we rebuild our connections with all life.
The Work That Reconnects, inspired by environmental author, activist, Buddhist scholar, and systems theorist Joanna Macy, develops the emotional, intellectual, and spiritual skills for us to transform our despair and overwhelm into inspired collaborative action. It is a process that has been offered thousands of times building motivation, connection, solidarity, and vision – renewing our courage to act for the healing of our world.
As we experience despair, anger, fear, or burnout, it sometimes feels easier to turn away and close ourselves off. This weekend will offer us skills to reconnect with ourselves and with others. As we acknowledge the reality of these times, discover our allies, and uncover the strength and renewed vision to bring forth the world we desire, we will learn ways to transform our despair and overwhelm into inspired collaborative action.
