Senior Producer Dick Nurse and I are happy to announce that Philadelphia’s WHYY-TV will broadcast a one-hour cut of Quakers: The Quiet Revolutionaries on Sunday, October 6, at 6:00 p.m. in recognition of World Quaker Day. No repeats are scheduled, so be sure to set your DVRs to catch it. WHYY serves southeastern Pennsylvania, southern New Jersey and the Delaware Valley.
We simply couldn’t have made the film without the early encouragement and support of our Kickstarter backers. The first shoots for Quakers began in the U.K. in 2012, so it has been a long journey we’ve made together. Along the way we travelled all over the country, engaging Quakers from all walks of life in our project. The Guggenheim Foundation even made me a Fellow in support of this idea, for which I am forever grateful.
Many, many thanks go out to each of you for your contributions. We will let you know when we have DVDs available in both the 57-minute and 78-minute versions. Our Facebook page and website will also have updates. Please keep in touch and know that you are always in our thoughts.
Yours in peace and gratitude,
Janet Gardner, Producer/Director
