Preparation, Formation and Belonging: New growth from RE Roots
December 7 @ 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm
A call to re-envision how we invite children and youth into spiritual community and nurture Quaker identity. What do the roots of 20th century Quaker religious education and our condition in meetings today have to say to each other? What grounding does Faith and Practice offer, in combination with our experience of faith and practice during the time of the pandemic — and the ways it has impacted faith communities? What new directions in religious education are possible that support an inclusive, intergenerational experience of Quakerism? What holy experiments are we called to now?
Hosted by the Quaker Religious Education Collaborative, this is a reprise of the QREC conference keynote delivered in August by Melinda Wenner Bradley from Philadelphia Yearly Meeting.
