Prayers for Philadelphia – for all faith traditions
October 5 @ 7:00 pm
The Religious Leaders Council of Greater Philadelphia is planning a series of three worship services for everyone in Philadelphia.
These services focus on addressing racism and constructing a just society. Each of them taps into the rich resources of many religious traditions.
The first service will feature an extended moment of silence. PYM’s General Secretary, Christie Duncan-Tessmer, was invited to frame that moment. She will welcome participants into the depth relationship with one another and the Divine in the manner of Friends.
All PYM Friends are invited to participate in this event.
The Religious Leaders Council of Greater Philadelphia exists to build relationships of mutual support, offer a moral and spiritual voice in the region, and identify issues of local concern for dialogue and action. The Council represents more than two million people of diverse faith traditions from across the greater Philadelphia region. The General Secretary of Philadelphia Yearly Meeting has participated in the council since its inception in 2006.
The meeting is by ZOOM on Monday, October 5 at 7:00 PM.
Friends interested in joining can register here.
