Laura Boyce, assistant general secretary for U.S. programs at the American Friends Service Committee has been instrumental in organizing actions nationwide to draw greater attention to the situation being faced by migrants from Central America in seeking refuge here, in actions to demanding demilitarization of the border and for humane and dignified treatment of migrants. She will speak about recent developments along the border and interfaith efforts to bring a humane response to migrants gathering there.
