
Family Camping Weekend: Hosted by PYM Youth Programs
September 30 @ 5:00 pm - October 2 @ 12:00 pm

Youth Programs staff will host this weekend at a PA State Park Campground, and welcome family units of adult(s)+kid(s) and other camping-friendly Friends to join in intergenerational community.
Bonus: Sunday, Oct. 2 is World Quaker Day, which we will celebrate together!
- Cost: $10/child or youth and $15/adult, or $50 for a family of 4 or more. Scholarships are available.
- Registration Deadline: September 16
Schedule:
(Please note arrival is on Friday after 5:00pm, or on Saturday morning before 10:00)
- 5:00pm Arrival at the campsite begins!
- Note: Families are on their own for dinner before arrival or at their camp site
- 7:00pm Community Campfire and Fellowship (s’mores!)
Saturday, October 1:
- 7-9:00am Rise and Shine! Families breakfast together.
- Families staying Saturday-only are welcome to arrive before 10:00am!
- 10:00am All Together activities led by Youth Programs staff
- 12:00pm Family lunch and free time (we’ll provide a list of possibilities in the park!)
- 3:00pm Youth Activities with Staff; Parent/adult free time
- 5:30pm Community Dinner (provided by PYM)
- Following dinner . . . Campfire and All Together fellowship (more s’mores!)
Sunday, October 2:
- 7-9:00am Rise and Shine! Families breakfast together.
- 10:00am World Quaker Day all ages worship and activity (“Becoming the Quakers the World Needs”)
- 11:00am Group Outdoor Activity
- 12:00 pm Family lunch and pack up
- Departure by 2:00pm
Things to Do at Gifford Pinchot State Park:
- There’s a playground, volleyball courts, and horseshoe pits.

Hiking Trails!

Experience Pinchot Lake.

Enjoy a round of disc golf with friends at one of two 18-hole courses.

Check out the diabase boulders and rock outcrops throughout the park that make for picturesque lake scenes or spots for quiet solitude.

Pinchot Lake offers 340 acres of “Big Bass” waters to challenge even the most experienced angler, or plentiful bluegills to delight even the youngest angler with a fishing pole.

Enjoy a night under the stars in the campground with friends!
