As people of faith, Friends are called to witness for a more just and livable world. This gathering will explore the intersections of our climate crisis, economic inequality and racism. We will share ideas on how, as individuals and as a faith community, we can address the climate crisis. We will explore whether to advance a minute establishing the Climate Crisis as a corporate witness.
CLIMATE CRISIS & ENVIRONMENTAL JUSTICE
In the morning session, a panel will focus on opportunities for Friends to address the climate crisis. Participants will explore how each of us sees this crisis unfolding in our own lives, sharing our hopes, our fears and our successes, both in our personal lives and in our public roles After lunch, together we’ll create a Vision of a Sustainable Future for our Region, one which is healthier, more equitable, affordable and safer than “business as usual.
Lunch is “Brown Bag.” Salad, bread and cookies provided.
