“A Clean Energy Future: How We Get There at the Local Level” will focus on clean energy strategies that you can use to move your municipality toward 100% clean energy. Guest speakers feature PA Rep. Dianne Herrin (former Mayor of West Chester Borough), Paula Kline (Eco-Justice Collaborative, Sierra Club Ready for 100 Campaign coordinator for 100 Chester County) and Steve Clark, member of the Haverford Township Environmental Advisory Committee.
The Ready for 100 campaign invites local governments to lead a transition away from dirty fuels like coal and fracked gas to 100% clean energy sources like solar and wind. It seeks to engage local officials, business and community leaders, and citizens in finding solutions that help us achieve 100% clean, just, and renewable energy for all.
More than 165 cities, including Philadelphia and more than 2 dozen other municipalities in Pennsylvania, have already adopted ambitious 100% clean energy goals. Eight states and a dozen counties have made the same commitment. Could your community be next?
