He uses empathetic and consistent outreach to connect Friends with critical work and projects they care about so that PYM can continue to build a strong network of active monthly meetings and Quakers.<\/p>\n<p>Friends can connect with Joe to be bridged to others through<strong><em> Friends in Business<\/em><\/strong>, a community of those active in or retired from business who wish to reflect together on faith and professional life.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2>About Joe<\/h2>\n<p>Joe Kirkenir took advantage of his time earning an English degree at Gettysburg College by exposing himself to diverse viewpoints through powerful literature and rallying the campus community around great causes. Upon graduation, he began his career in nonprofit fundraising, leading the development efforts for Big Brothers Big Sisters of York and Adams Counties and the YMCA of the Roses.<\/p>\n<p>Joe\u2019s passion for fundraising extends to his robust volunteer life, where he serves as the Fundraising Chair on the boards of Lancaster Pride and The Common Wheel and as President of the Association of Fundraising Professionals \u2013 Central PA Chapter and the Animal Advocates of South Central PA.<\/p>\n<p>Joe lives in Lancaster, PA, with his wife, Mandy, and two cats, Victor and Nona.
