The White Privilege Conference

  • January 27, 2016 at 10:03 am #1733

The White Privilege Conference will be in Philadelphia this year. PYM Friends affirmed our commitment to dismantling racism and white supremacy as a yearly meeting. This Conference is a tremendous resource in our collective effort. Register through FGC to get a Quaker group discount rate and to be eligible for additional financial support from PYM. Are you planning to go? What are you looking forward to? What questions do you have?

    Hospitality Room and Potluck

For the past five years local Friends and FGC have sponsored a Quaker hospitality room where Friends could take a break when needed, gather for worship, and have a Quaker caucus for worship sharing. There will be a Quaker hospitality room in the Marriott for Friends to gather and we need some folks to volunteer their time to chaperone the hospitality room. Please sign up to volunteer at the Hospitality Room here:

Additionally, Friends General Conference will have a vendors table where we will be handing out information on Quaker spirituality. Friends interested in talking about Quakerism and meeting new people are encouraged to come sit at the FGC table and meet other conference attenders. You can sign up to volunteer at our vending table here:

Friends do not have to sign up in advance to come work at the FGC table or chaperone the Hospitality room though it is encouraged and appreciated!

On Thursday evening there will be Worship followed by a Potluck with Friends of Central Philadelphia monthly meeting at Friends Center (1501 Cherry Street) from 6:00-9:00 pm. If you are interested in attending please RSVP here:
