SUMMARY:August Summer Saturday Storm Recovery Volunteering
DESCRIPTION:Pendle Hill is hosting a community work morning to help campus recover from the recent storm damage. Helpful hands are needed for medium-\, and heavy-duty outdoor tasks: cleaning small branches\, removing invasives\, spreading mulch\, and rebuilding trails. Volunteers should bring work gloves\, tick spray as concerned\, sunscreen\, and sturdy shoes. Pendle Hill will provide tools\, refreshments\, camaraderie\, and opportunity for worship.   \nRequests for Meetings and Groups: Please consider carpooling\,  and ask everyone to register individually. Spaces will be limited .  \nWeather: This is an outdoor event. If raining\, event will be cancelled. DESCRIPTION:Are you challenged by the concept of public ministry in your meeting? Come learn about the Friends Incubator for Public Ministry’s inaugural cohort learning experience\, designed for those called to public ministry\, their elders\, and their worshipping communities.   \nFrom April 6-12\, 2026 the cohort will gather at Pendle Hill for an in-person retreat.  Five participating meetings will explore how to faithfully discern\, support\, and hold public ministry accountable within their unique community contexts.  The retreat marks the beginning of a two-year transformational process tailored to the needs and gifts of each meeting and minister involved.   \nIn this informal info session\, convener Windy Cooler will share background about this innovative program and answer questions.
