Friendly Adult Presences

We hope that if your child is participating regularly in Middle School Friends that you will come as a Friendly Presence to at least one gathering a year. Though a certain amount of work involved it is also a lot of fun and spiritually uplifting!  You'll get to play games, sing songs, worship, learn and grow through the workshops, lob snowballs, make craft projects and more!  We hope the following guide is helpful for you to understand the roles and responsibility of adult friendly presences.

Here is how it is done. Fill out and sign the "Friendly Adult Presence Form" with references and the "Background Investigation Consent for Volunteer Chaperones." Mail both forms to me, yes, it must be snail mailed, we need an original signature on the consent form. We will then go on line to get the clearance. This information will be kept confidential. Only those who need to see the results will have access.

Young Friendly Presences

Being a Young Friendly Presence (YFP) at a Middle School Friends gathering is a great way to gain leadership skills, to have fun and serve the community that once served you when you were a Middle School Friend!  We hope that this guide for YFPs will be helpful to understanding what the opportunity will entail. You must be 10th grade or above to be a Young Friendly Presence.
