China Summer:
International Volunteer Workcamp

Staff

James Reilly and Wu Na have served as the Quaker International Affairs Representatives (QIARs) for the American Friends Service Committee since June 1, 2001. They have led workcamps in China, taken US cultural groups to North Korea, helped host North Korean delegations in the US, published articles on US policy in East Asia, and worked with South Korean organizations on issues of conscientious objection to military service and training in conflict resolution.

Wu Na	James Reilly
	Zhang Jin is the 2008 China Summer project officer in Hunan. In summer 2007, Zhang was in charge of all the travel related issues. Zhang traveled between Chinese cities with participants. In the rural village where the workcamp takes place Zhang helped wash clothes and did other daily work, and also played games and had fun together with the participants. Zhang loves the China Summer Project and all the participants. Zhang is looking forward a great China Summer Workcamp in 2008 and in the future.
Liu Ming has been on the staff of AFSC Hunan, China since May 2007. Liu Ming was a leader in running the 2007 China Summer program along with the other staff. Liu Ming's efforts helped make the summer a success, and she enjoyed becoming friends with the workcamp participants.
	Anne Triest is the 2008 China Summer U.S. Program Coordinator. Anne was also a participant in the 2007 China Summer program. A native of Massachusetts, Anne currently attends Carleton College in Minnesota, where she gets herself through the winter by cross-country skiing, dancing, burying her head in books, drinking lots of tea, and dreaming about far away places like a certain little village in the middle of China.
