Charter
The purpose of Meeting's Website is to serve God and the members and
attenders of our meeting, as well as all who access the site,
through:
- providing a means for dialogue, information-sharing, and building community;
- providing information about the worship, beliefs, testimonies, practices, and service of Quakers in Meeting;
- promoting access to the programs of the Meeting;
- expressing the ministry of the Meeting as demonstrated in our words and works;
- encouraging and facilitating the participation of Friends and seekers in our activities by making available preliminary information and a means for convenient follow-up."
Guidelines
In addition to the Charter, we propose to follow these guidelines,
which may change from time to time.
- Material is posted with the understanding that it may become public
information, accessible to anyone on the Internet. Outside of MfWfB
Minutes, personal information such as a person's first and last
name, address, phone number, email address, and other private
information will only be posted with permission of the specific
person. Within MfWfB Minutes, such information is already given as
seldom as practical, and may be editted away or obscured if deemed
appropriate.
- MfWfB Minutes are available to attenders and members by email to
Centre_Meeting@yahoo.com.
- We will announce the availability of, and summarize in an anonymous
way the recent changes to lists such as the Attenders List, Committee List, and
related information, but will only provide the full lists by email when requested by
a recognizable individual such as an attender or member of the
Religious Society of Friends.
- Pages will contain:
- a reference to the group or individual responsible for the page
- a contact name and email address, most likely from the Web Site Committee or pointed to a Web Site Committee email address.
- the date when the page was last modified
