These friends assist with specific, intermittent and time-limited projects on an as-needed basis. The Yearly Meeting currently needs help with two major projects, and more opportunities are coming soon!
Web Content Curator - PYM is transitioning the website to a more user friendly format. Volunteer Web Content Curators are needed to help locate, create, edit, upload, organize and quality check content. This creative role involves interaction with the PYM website, staff, members & attenders; and different types of documents, photographs and other electronic and printed materials. Basic office and computer skills are all that is needed.
Grants Volunteers are needed for two projects. One is to gather and organize historical data for PYM’s granting groups in the GIFTS database. This work will support reports that show the trends and scope of PYM’s grants witness. The second is to organize and convert the Chace and Bequests paper files to electronic documents, and archive the paper files at the Friends Historical Library at Swarthmore. Both are ideal opportunities for a student in the fields of nonprofit leadership or philanthropy, for whom hands-on knowledge of GIFTS software and of grants practice will provide valuable experience.
Other/upcoming projects (contact the Volunteer Coordinator if interested):
Fundraising phone-a-thon: an opportunity to reach out to friends in your immediate Quaker community and invite them to contribute to our collective Yearly Meeting.
Workshop Leaders at Annual Sessions, Youth Programs, or Thread Gatherings.

Term-Limited Working Group or Focus Groups are often filled by invitation only. We are grateful for the work that these Friends do!
Annual Sessions: journalists, photographers, help desk assistants, and more.
