Intervisitation
From Faith and Practice:
From the beginning Quakers have felt a special bond that has overarched geographical and cultural boundaries and has made easy the offer of hospitality to traveling Friends on the one hand and the quiet confidence of welcome on the other. Friendly intervisitation, whether formal or informal, has for more than three hundred years provided an important opening for understanding and cooperation in the affairs of Friends and for mutual ministry and spiritual growth.
The Quarterly Organizing Committee of Upper Susquehanna Quarterly Meerting would like to encourage members and attenders of Meetings in the Quarter to take opportunities to visit each others' Meetings and join in worshiping together. With this in mind, we intend to publish a schedule of the travels of our regional staff person, Wade Wright, with the thought that Friends might accompany him on his visits to Meetings on First Day. Please feel free to travel to the scheduled Meetings on your own, or call Wade (570-925-5262) to coordinate travelling together when that is possible or desirable.
No visits are scheduled at this time. If you would like to initiate travelling, please contact Wade...
