The Working Group shares information about the project design and plans at Yearly Meetings sessions and by mail; and invites inquiries and applications.
This same information was mailed out to all PYM Meetings in April 2002.
Members of the Working Group visited some Meetings to talk about the project over the course of the summer.
Applications from Meetings that wish to be included in the pilot phase, which will involve 4 to 6 Meetings, should be in no later than November 1, 2002.
In the fall the selection of Meetings to participate in the pilot will be made, and Meetings can begin refining their plans with support from the project.
Work with those Meetings would begin in earnest by January 1, 2003.
The project provides and coordinates support for the pilot Meetings over the next two years.
Note: Any useful resources or ideas developed in the work with these Meetings will immediately be shared with any other interested Meetings.
By the half way through the first year, formative evaluation efforts will begin.
By the beginning of the second year, summative evaluation efforts will be initiated.
At the end of the second year we see if this is worth continuing and expanding.

- — that by end of the second year we will find the participating Meetings showing real growth in membership at a rate of at least 5% per year.
