As the Quaker Information Center begins its 14th year, the QIC Oversight Committee offers appreciation to Peggy Morscheck of Central Philadelphia Meeting for her service as director since the inception of QIC. Countless Friends and inquirers from across North America and beyond have benefited from Peggy's referrals to the wealth of information which she has coordinated through the QIC. We are grateful for her professional, energetic, creative service on behalf of Friends.
Peggy recently resigned as QIC director, and we wish her well in her future endeavors. A celebration of Peggy and her ministry with QIC is planned at Friends Center before she leaves in September. Chel Avery of Goshen Meeting (PA) will serve as interim director from September through June 2004.
As the Oversight Committee engages in a long-range planning process, all of its sponsoring organizations, including PYM, will be involved in visioning the future of QIC and how it can provide unique services to Friends and inquirers.
