Project Coordinator
Trenton Meeting
The Project Coordinator for the Trenton Meeting of Friends is contracted by the Monthly Meeting to supervise, coordinate, and implement specific outreach and social justice projects sponsored by the Meeting. This is a part-time (16 hours per week) position with a flexible schedule, including weekends and evenings. The contract term is one year, with subsequent annual renewal based upon job performance, ongoing need, and available funding.
The coordinator will assist in fulfilling the goals of the Meetings Making New Friends program, and the standing and ad hoc committees (including Peace & Social Concerns and Outreach Committees), by providing planning, implementation, management and feedback on projects approved by the Monthly Meeting. Developing and presenting ideas to committees and the Meeting is also encouraged.
Responsibilties include:
- Coordinate newsletters, mailings, press releases and website.
- Be available as the Meetings point of contact to local government and community groups.
- Manage special events, from planning through follow-up phases.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of Quaker processes
- Home office with fax and internet, and familiarity with office software.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of Trenton region preferred.

Oversee renewal process; create print order; oversee promotions and marketing campaigns. Prepare reports. Excellent computer, organizational skills, knowledge of Friends required. Experience with Blackbaud software a plus.

The Peace and Concerns Standing Committee would like Friends to begin thinking about two possible but not certain job opportunities.
- A full-time Administrative Assistant position may be available some time in September;
- A full-time Coordinator of Workcamp Services position may be available after January 1, 2004.

Uwchlan Monthly Meeting has a part time position available for an energetic individual with a firm understanding of Quaker values to lead Middle and High School youth group in Downingtown, PA.
