A gathering on Saturday, May 17, will focus on improving relationships between Monthly Meetings and PYM. The morning gathering will be a follow-up to the Friday evening session of Yearly Meeting on the theme: "How can Friends across the Yearly Meeting be effectively involved in conversations about setting priorities for PYM and the right use of resources in times of economic challenge?" Originally announced to focus on what Standing Committees could do, the gathering has been expanded to include all interested PYM members, especially Monthly Meeting clerks or their representatives. A synthesis of the ideas brought forth March 28 is being prepared and participants will be asked to further identify specific actions, with "by whom, how, and when" being addressed. For further information or a copy of the synthesis, contact PYM Alternate Clerk Sandy Heath at heathsandy@aol.com. The May 17 gathering will run from 9:30 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. at the Fourth and Arch Street Meeting House in Philadelphia.
