The PYM Drug Concerns Working Group is developing alternatives to the failed war on drugs. We seek help with two new projects: One of these projects is to get addicted Friends the help they need. This will entail educational programs with monthly meetings and a confidential telephone-contact service, used to connect Friends with trained addictions counselors or other means of help. The second is a project aimed at reducing some of the damages drugs are doing in the general society. We are looking for volunteers to assist us in working with the growing movement of "Harm Reduction." We will explore options for working with established harm reduction groups or creating our own.
