The Second Annual Quaker Public Educator Conference is Saturday, January 11, at Friends Center in Philadelphia. We had over 60 participants last year and expect a large crowd again this year. David Bourns, the founding principal of the Paul Cuffee Charter School in Providence, Rhode Island, is delivering the keynote address. David previously served as Head of George School for 21 years.
The conference runs from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at 15th and Cherry streets. While this event is geared towards Friends who teach and work in public education, all Quaker educators are invited. Contact Elke Muller, PYM Education Programs, at elkem@pym.org or 215-241-7223.
