Nonviolence is the way to peace. With our actions we declare that we will reach beyond differences to understand other points of view, change our lifestyles to use less, especially oil products, and refrain from using violence to gain advantage. In order to disarm anyone who has offended us, we will listen to why they are striking out. Divine law dictates that in the final analysis only good can overcome evil, only light can overcome darkness, only love can overcome hate. This translates into taking the time, effort, and money we might use for war to engage Iraqi people and others in attacking our mutual problems and not each other.
