FRIENDS RESPOND TO CRISIS

AFSC: Help end the Economic Sanctions on Iraq

RETURN TO TABLE OF CONTENTS

We are profoundly grieved at the loss of life, the suffering, and the sorrow that resulted from the suicide attacks on September 11. Despite the sorrow we all feel, we invite you to join us in breaking the cycle of violence.

Join the Campaign of Conscience for the Iraqi People, a nonviolent initiative cosponsored by the American Friends Service Committee (AFSC). Add your Meeting to the list of over 150 organizations/faith communities, including almost 80 Friends Meetings, and nearly 2,000 individuals that have supported the campaign. It is at this time when we are most tested that we must chose to invest in practices of peace not war, acts of friendship not hatred. Contact Peter Lems at PLems@afsc.org or Laurel Evans at (215) 241-7874 or visit www.afsc.org/conscience.
