ike the fabled "Brigadoon," a village appears each autumn. It lives for one weekend only, then recedes to memory. Its inhabitants? A small community of 80 (or so) Friends who come together in a woodland setting for discussion, reflection and fun.
Join with those who return every year to the Tri-Quarter Gathering at Camp Ockanickon near Medford Lakes, New Jersey, for a weekend designed to refresh and restore the spirit.
Highlights this year include: eight inspiring workshops, special activities for children and teens, square and round dancing, intergenerational games, guided stargazing, hayride and a bonfire and music on the beach. Best of all, you'll have free time for canoeing and swimming, or exploring the sandy footpaths, or resting awhile on your bunk in your open air cabin. (Lodge available for tenderfoots.)
Perhaps your heart will most remember a walk in the darkness, or the silence broken by birdsong at the Chapel on the Lake. Whatever it is we take with us, we'll be "Refilling Our Cup" at this year's Tri-Quarter Gathering, September 28-30, and hope you will be there, too, as our cup runneth over.
For more information about this affordable yet priceless getaway, call Cindy Cox Crispin at 856-478-4093. Weekend includes six meals plus ice cream social.
