he PYM Indian Committee encourages Friends to attend a Lenape Indian symposium from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, October 20, at the Cumberland County College Performing Arts Center, 3322 College Drive, Vineland, New Jersey.
The symposium, titled "Then and Now," will tell the story of New Jersey's original people. Speakers will include tribal representatives from Oklahoma and Canada. They will address questions such as:
- What happened to those original people who were forced from their homeland?
- What happened to those who chose to stay and become invisible?
Learn the story from these original people themselves and from those who have spent years studying their culture.

The PYM Indian Committee meets at 10 a.m. the second Saturday of every month (September through June) at the Fourth and Arch Street Meeting House in Philadelphia. All interested persons are welcome.
