he American Friends Service Committee's Middle Atlantic Region will be holding its annual Fall Gathering the weekend of October 19-21 in Logan, West Virginia.
The theme of the gathering is "Restoring Balance to the Earth and Ourselves." Participants will take a tour to see first-hand the environmental damage from mountaintop removal coal-mining and to see AFSC project work in several communities. Workshops will examine possible solutions to these problems and look at strategies for balancing our individual lives.
The gathering is "family-friendly" and will be held in a new conference center in the state park at Logan. There is camping, hiking, and horseback riding. Child care will be available. The fall colors should be spectacular!
